I have known our guest this week for many years. Going back to his first appearance on The Bob & Tom Show and then again on the road with The Bob & Tom Comedy Tour.

Auggie Smith has changed a lot. The man who exposed me to the wonders of a good chocolate martini and could party until it was time to catch a plane in the morning is now all grown up.

He is the proud father of two lovely children and the husband of one. His comedy has grown up too. He now thinks about his audience and the time and trouble it took them to get to a show, not about himself. Thus making for a more entertaining experience.

Auggie grew up with a single mom in Billings Montana. He excelled at speech and public speaking and had a teacher who suggested standup. His career really took off after moving to Portland Oregon and after doing The Bob & Tom Show.

We will learn about those early days and how comedy has played a major role in his life on and off the stage. I love the last line of my notes from this interview: The Story of Auggie Smith: The Bob & Tom Show, Being Positive, Most of Life is Good and Kindness!

Pretty much sums it up! Have fun!

Who doesn’t love an inspirational story? My guest this week has an incredible story.

Loni Love started working on the line in a GM plant in Detroit while still in high school. There she found a passion for electrical engineering, which landed her a scholarship to Prairie View A&M University in Texas.

While in Texas, she took the stage for the first time and fell in love with stand-up comedy, routinely getting gigs throughout college. Upon graduation, Love landed an engineering job in California and headed west to pursue her dream.

She became a regular at the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles, was selected for prestigious comedy festivals and was a finalist on the CBS revived Star Search.

Not only is she still touring the country as one of the nations top stand up acts. She is also seen on THE REAL a daily, one-hour Emmy® nominated talk show on Fox Television Stations and in national syndication.

Along with co-hosts, Tamara Mowry-Housley, Jeannie May and Adrienne Houghton, Loni discusses topics on the show ranging from their personal lives to the news of the day to beauty, fashion and relationships.

Not only do we discuss THE REAL we also learn about her comedic heroes, road stories, and more. Loni told me she feels that her comedy shows are a celebration and that's how I feel about this episode.

Loni Love we celebrate you!

There are so many talented people occupying this planet. On a recent Friday I was able to sit down with 3.

Debra Fadely-Raber, Laura LaForge and Jodie Bailey represent just a few of the contributors to the Stutz Artists Open House April 27th and 28th in downtown Indianapolis.

Each of these women has a specialty. Debra happens to be a photographer who likes to shoot many different things. She is married to photographer Kevin Raber and they had the most unusual wedding, surrounded by penguins in Antartica!

Jodie is a visual artist who mainly works as a sculptor and hat maker. We are not talking your boring fedora. No, her creations are definitely works of art. Often times she uses unusual items like pencils or pages from a journal to craft a chapeau! (chapeau=hat in french) and Laura is an amazing painter.

Each of these women talk about the importance of art and art education, how they got started, how you can become a collector (all budgets) and of course the event.

The 25th Anniversary Stutz Artists Open House will be held Friday April 27th and Saturday April 28th with a VIP event on Thursday April 26th. The Stutz Business and Arts Center is located at 212 West 10th Street on the full city block between 10th and 11th Streets, between Capitol and Senate in downtown Indianapolis Indiana.

The two-day event celebrates the 25th year the Stutz artists have welcomed guests to their studios where they work all year long. The artists and building will be decked out in silver to celebrate the anniversary. Each artist is creating a work of art inspired by silver to be featured in their studio.

Artists will offer paintings, photography, furniture, sculpture, jewelry and more for purchase.

Tickets may be purchased and information found at:
